Ok - I think I've written about this before, but I'm even too tired to search for the post. The week after I get back from my trips to Sweden really is hard. I feel like a zombie and are really irritated.
It's like having a really bad "jetlag PMS". It lasts for days and not even chocolate can ease it (imagine that!?). Despite that I actually manage to sleep through the night, it seems to take forever to turn my body back to California time... Hopefully (my family really thinks so) I'm at the end of it all and will be my ordinary nice self by the time the weekend comes. 8 weeks until next trip...

I just fall directly back in to the Californian time. It's never a problem for me. My problem is when I go back to Sweden. Then I'm cranky as hell. I guess that's because I'm a night person and I hate mornings.
Well, I used to be really, really bad at the east bound jetlag, but after a couple of horrible experiences I found a system that works pretty good (unfortunately it involves arriving straight to Stockholm early in the morning = have to use the SAS flight). So I'm doing great in Stockholm these days - only takes me a day to get into the rhythm. But this westbound jetlag is bad - and it used to be the easy one. I'm not sure I'm a morning OR a night person anymore. B.K. I think I was a night person.
Skumt skumt. Borde vara tvärtom...
I wonder if jet lag has any connection to going east or west. My husband went to Japan and had the most difficulty adjusting to arrival in Japan but adjusted easily on the return to California.

KKBryant - I used to have real problems with the east bound jetlag (when going from CA to Europe). But I have a few tricks for that now and I'm doing pretty good. West bound used to the the simple one, since you're "traveling with the time" - but now this is the really hard one... Today, 7 days after returning seems to be the first good day.
