Cooler weather

We suddenly had cooler temperatures. 10 F degrees below average according to the excited meteorologists (who suddenly had some sort of Weather to talk about).

Meaning we woke up to +14C Brr! After weeks with waking up to the sound of the poor AC trying to cool the house, we suddenly could use "natural AC" - open windows.

I was a bit confused... +14C... Maybe I needed a sweater... or socks??

The "cold front" will last until Thursday. Then we're back to normal again. Until then I'm going to e enjoy wearing long sleeves in the morning (not really necessary, but it feels nice after weeks in t-shirts)!

(and we ended up with +29 in the late afternoon, so we didn't really freeze...).

I'm always cold in the house and the car because of the darn air conditioning. I often wear socks and a cardigan in the house.Trouble is I'm sensitive to the heat too so I can't win!

Miranda - that's sure is the tricky part of living here... to keep a "lagom" (great Swedish word!) temperature in between hot sun and cold AC... I always bring a sweater when we eat out... I'm a person who freezes a lot... I brought out my fleece blanket the other cool night...

Yes and the shops over the road freeze me to death!
I get very cold hands and feet. They go like ice! I also have a lovely fleece blanket that i watch TV on the couch with while hubby sits in shorts and t-shirt...ha!
Yes I'm familiar with Lagom and I used it in Ikea (to my family to show off!!) to say that my meatballs were just the right temperature! Was I right to use it like that or not?

Miranda - good to know you know basic Swedish now! ;-) Yes... we have a slight different view on "warm" and "cold" in this house too. Which always makes dressing the kids an interesting story... I remember our "child class" we took when being pregnant the first time when they said, "dress your baby with one more layer than you would wear"... ok - let's just say that my normal "layer" and the Husband's normal "layer" are two completely different things... ;-)
