A million gadgets...

I thought it was the Husband who was the gadget freak in the family. But when done packing my hand luggage I realize I'm not far behind...

Besides all the stuff you need to move two kids across the world, my bags contain; a laptop, an extra battery for the laptop, a compact camera, a SLR camera, , a SLR flash, an iPaq, an iPod with the headset, a USB stick memory, and two cell phones. (and these things comes with two sets of cords each - the charger and the connector (but they have to ride in the suitcases, thank you very much)). And this does not include the daughter's V.Smile and music/story player.

Soon I have to get an extra seat for all the stuff... or at least a seat for another grown-up who can carry half of it.

(As of today, Wednesday, I have two confirmed seats together for the kids on the SAS flight Chicago-Stockholm, however SAS can't reserve my seat next to the kids, even though it's unoccupied according to their systems (??), but they have requested that SAS in Chicago (??) should do that on Saturday... maybe I should hope for a separate seat and someone else can entertain my kids on the 9 hour flight?).

Yes, *sigh*...why don't you let someome else deal with your kids for 9 hours!?? I cannot believe that it has to be so damn hard for SAS to seat you together??? Weird.

Yes, you gadget freak, you!! YOu do have a lot, but I am not far behind: big camera, small camera, ipod, laptop. what is an Ipaq???
I am bringing to mobile phones as well.

I cannot belive that you are leaving so soon!!!

Hihi, vad jag känner igen mig. Vi har för länge sedan slutat använda "vanligt" handbagage utan använder istället laptop-ryggsäckar. Enda sättet att få med sig allt.

Wow! I am impressed that you know how to use it all! My SLR has been only ever put on program mode so that it does most things itself as i don't know what half the other buttons and dials do!! (Despite being named after a camera through my fathers love of them! Thank God it wasn't Nikon!!)
I guess it helps having a husband who's a gadget man too or were you always this way inclined?
As for the seats, they will have to sit you all together surely?!
Actually though, your kids are so adorable, who would mind babysitting them? (Although son did have a slight change of personality last flight!!)Gadget daughter could introduce them to the V Smile!!

Jag läste mer om SAS strejken i DN idag och tänkte på dig. Hoppas allt går bra. Kanske inte så tokigt om du får ett säte någon ananstans så att någon annan passar barnen under 9 timmar ;-)

Hoppas du får en bra resa.

Annika - it's so stressful - I HATE it. But all solved now... it just took four weeks... I think we live in gadget world... unless they invent a iPodSLRiPaqUSB-thing...

Fia - japp! Och irriterande att det inte finns lap-top-blöj-väskor... trodde jag skulle klara mig på en - men nope - blir två väskor. En ryggsäck och en tote.

Miranda - you have to take a class and start learning - it's great fun! I didn't know anything when I got mine, but I'm slowly learning. Haha, Nikon, that would have been something! I'm planning on neither kids closing their eyes for one second during the 20 something hours it will take door to door...

Desiree - ja, man behöver INTE stressen över en ev strejk på toppen av allt annat. Vi får se hur det blir... Tack!

IsleDance - I would even consider paying have child care during a flight, wouldn't that be great! ;-)
