We had lunch at a restaurant today, celebrating the birthday. I ordered my "I-don't-know-what-to-order- and-the-choices-are-way too-many"- alternative.Chicken Caesar salad.
There is always Caesar salad to order in an American restaurant. They may have slightly different names (Blackened Chicken Caesar salad, Grilled Italian Chicken Caesar salad) - but it's there. Somewhere in a corner of the plastic menu.
They usually come in different sizes. "Regular" usually means "huge-feeds-four-sort-of" and "petite/smal" means "you-actually-might-be-able-to-finish-this".
I found this fact when doing a little online research:
Caesar Salad [SEE-zer] - The salad consists of greens (classically romaine lettuce) with a garlic vinaigrette dressing.
Anyway, the Caesar salad (the picture) I had today at Mimi's Café was ok. I actually finished it. Celebrating 4th birthdays makes you hungry.

I've been eating junk all day so now looking at that, I feel real guilty. I love their salads. Can't remember what one I normally have but its also huge. People must take one look at what I leave on my plate and at the size of me and assume I have an eating disorder!
My favorite salad! Love Caesar salads so much! Now Karolina loves them, too. And often, instead of ordering from the kids menu, she orders a small caesar instead! Too bad they are kinda fattening, but let's not concentrate on THAT right now :-)
Not a fan of Caesar salad at all, just too boring for me! But I DO love salads in general, especially with grilled chicken!
Ceasar sallad är gott. Det gillar jag. Krutongerna är speciellt mumsiga.
De va en av sakerna ja märkte när ja kom till USA. Jag brukar normalt, i Sverige asså, äta ganska mycket. Du kan gissa att jag blev förvånad när jag såg den STORA (betoning på stora) mackan jag ahd ebställt. Och så undrar de varför de är så feta.... Skönt å va tillbaks i Sverige nu, tacka fan vet jag "normalstora" stora portioner av allt...
Anonym - skönt att du är nöjd att vara tillbaka - man ska trivas där man bor! ;-) Visst är portionerna stora om man glömmer att beställa den mindre. Gillar dock principen att man alltid blir erbjuden att ta med sig det man äter upp.
Ja, man får simpelthen bare større potioner mad derovre.
Men så længe der er en salat, så går det jo nok:)
