IF the Discovery will launch in Florida tonight, there will be a Swedish astronaut on board - Christer Fuglesang. He's been waiting years and years to get some space time (and almost became a Swedish joke...), and now it seems it's all ready to go. Great! Imagine waiting that long and finally getting to for a ride in space!I've been twice to the Kennedy Space Center, where the launch takes place, and I love it! The launch pads are huge! Missed launches both times I was there (they hardly ever takes place on the scheduled time...), but it's still a great place to go. Especially if you're a fascinated with the ability to go to space (I have a little weird interest in the Apollo program...).
Wouldn't it have been so cool if they would have gone to the moon today instead of 1969! Imagine the pictures! Online feeds! The sound!
Oh, well, a camera on the Discovery shuttle isn't too bad either.
