Today we went to the circus. My last memory of a visit to the circus is so old it's probably outlawed. I have a vague memory of a small circus tent and sawdust floor.
This was nothing like that.
The circus wasn't even in a tent - they had transformed a whole arena into a circus. And boy, do these Americans know how to put on a show. For over 2 hours, not including the "pre show" on the circus floor where you got to meet the clowns in person), we were royally entertained.
When asked what the Daughter enjoyed most, she answered "when the elephants pooped on the floor". (and schhh... I must admit... that was sort of funny, even though it was not really part of the show).

Ha, skoj. Vi var där i Lördags.
Senaste gången jag var på cirkus var 1994, första dagen som au-pair i Geneve. Jag satt med hjärtat i halsgropen under hela föreställningen och tyckte att det var otäckt med lindansöserna etc - var alldeles för rädd att de skulle falla ner!! Borde kanske testa igen (inte för att det vimlar av cirkusar i PR) eller så väntar jag tills jag har barn att gå med ;-)
PS Det blev japansk restaurang för O i fredags istället för cocktail med diplomater på en av franska flottans fartyg - inte lika sofistikerat ;-)
Liz - haha - I forgot all about that! Jag tror faktiskt jag bara sett Circus Scott på TV - aldrig live. Den sista circus jag kommer ihåg var ett litet tält någonstans ute på landet.

Petra H - ja, jag gillar faktiskt inte lindansöserna heller - blir såå nervös. De hade akrobater här- men allt var väldig safe - ingen skulle trilla här inte. Vänta du tills det finns barn att ta med - det blir en helt annan upplevelse - halva nöjet var att se hur nöjda de var! ;-) Aha - mm... japansk restaurang vs franskt fartyg... ;-)
