When I drove into our street yesterday, coming back from picking up Chinese for dinner, I realized that there was a strange noise in the car... I wasn't sure how long I've heard it, only that I don't think it was suppoused to be there.
Now, me and cars is like... hm... I drive them, but that's about it.
So I told the husband about it (the solution for all car problems) and he was going to listen to it. And I just realized that he forgot, and here I am in the house, with plans to take off. And now I'm stuck.
Because I don't want to end up on an American highway, waiting for AAA to come help me and the kids. I rather stay in the house until the noise is taken care of.
I didn't have any major plans, but now that I'm stuck I suddenly can't stop about all the things I could have done... go to IKEA to refill the chocolate stock, drive down to the river for a long nice walk in the sun, and, and...
Oh, well.

I know how it feels when you have to be stuck inside the house the entire day. Not so fun! Well, I hope your day is going good. And of course: Good luck with the car!
Precis. När man inte kan då vill man göra en massa, känner sig instängd och har en massa planer. Men hade du haft bilen fit for fight kanske du ändå bara stannat hemma hela dagen och inte alls haft lust åka iväg nånstans...
Saknar du inte buss och tunnelbana när bilen strejkar? Du kommer ju också från Stockholm. Jag saknar bussar osv och att man alltid är hänvisad till att ta bilen.
Anne-Marie - jodå, fast livet är så annorlunda här. När jag är i Stockholm saknar jag sällan att ha min bil - rör mig som fisk i vattnet med buss och tunnelbana (eller taxi om det behövs). Här vet man ju inte om något annat. Kan sakna "långdistans" kommunikationer - typ att kunna hoppa på tåget för långa sträckor. Sen känns det ibland lite läskigt att stannar bilen någonstans är det helt kört! Man är FAST!
